It's Pop's Summer '14 playlist

Guys! As I'm getting ready to jet off to Italy for two weeks (hello burrata!) I thought I'd post my fave songs of the Summer for you to enjoy and listen to at the office at the beach.

Without further ado here are the top 5 tracks (in no particular order), and a playlist of all the songs that are rocking my Summer.

A-L-X - Allure

You already know this not-so-new artist. Remember this? I too thought he would become a great popstar (he had the songs) but his chart performances decided otherwise. Thank God, the artist formerly known as Alex Gardner (I interviewed him in 2010!) is back with a great new project. Allure sounds like an infectious indie hit in the making. (Another song: Beautiful Criminal)

Tove Syrke - Even If I'm Loud It Doesn't Mean I'm Talking To You

What a comeback single! Quite different from the sweeter brand of electro pop she got us used to with her excellent debut album, Tove shows a bolder and more exciting side. That's an album I can't wait to hear!

Indiana - Heart On Fire

Indiana already has the number one song of the year so far (the incredible Solo Dancing) and it sounds like her new single is going to be near the top spot too. Imagine the full LP.

Banks - Begging For Thread

I'm so relieved that Banks finally delivers a huge song, after a string of good yet slightly underwhelming singles. Begging for Thread makes up for most songs released this year, by any artist.

SVE - Riot

It's always very exciting when such a song happens, and you learn the artist is still unsigned. IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL!!! (iTunes) (Other song: Talking to the Walls)

Here are all the great songs of this summer in one handy playlist.
